Based in North Lincolnshire near Grimsby, Tow-Bars 2 Tow-Cars has built up a successful tow-car conversion company over the last 6 years, offering motorhome owners a “one-stop shop” of vehicle and tow-bar combinations.
Graham Richardson, the MD, is a fully qualified Motor Engineer with over 40 years of experience in the motor vehicle trade and micro-electronics industry. Graham made it to the final five of the annual Prince of Wales Award for Innovation on BBC TV's Tomorrows World, after inventing the first electronic tachograph.
Graham says: “I have been at the forefront of fitting electrical systems to vehicles to solve vehicle related problems. I started developing the Tow-Bars 2 Tow-cars system five years ago, when helping an elderly motorhomer to fit a traditional mechanical system to a tow-car which was very heavy and awkward to fit.
"My brief was simple:
- Make the product legal throughout Europe and "design out" all the grey areas in the existing law.
- Make the product very “user friendly” i.e. as lightweight and easy to fit as possible.
- Make the system tidy when removed off the vehicle, so you the driver have a normal car for regular use on a daily basis.
